Overview

ChronoWeather is a route weather app. Your privacy is important. This policy explains what data the app uses, how it is used, and what third parties are involved.

Data Stored On Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device using iOS. It is never transmitted to any server or shared with any third party:

• Saved Favorites — If you are a Pro subscriber, route names and origin/destination coordinates you explicitly save are stored locally.
• Journey History — Origin and destination names for your last 10 planned routes are stored locally to power the History feature.
• App preferences — Settings such as your Pro status are stored locally via iOS UserDefaults.

All of the above data lives exclusively on your device. Deleting the app removes it entirely.

Location Data

ChronoWeather requests access to your device location only when you tap the Current Location button in the route input screen. Your location is used solely to populate the origin field. It is not stored beyond that session, not linked to your identity, and not transmitted to any server.

You can decline location access and type a starting address manually. The app functions fully without location permission.

Weather Data

Weather forecasts are fetched directly from Apple WeatherKit. Coordinate data (the points along your route) is sent to Apple's WeatherKit servers to retrieve forecasts. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.

Route Data

Route calculations use Apple Maps (MapKit). Origin and destination coordinates are sent to Apple's routing servers. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.

In-App Purchases

ChronoWeather Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information.

Analytics and Tracking

ChronoWeather contains no analytics tools, crash reporters, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks of any kind. We do not collect usage statistics, telemetry, or behavioral data.

Data Collection Summary

We collect no personal data. All app data is stored locally on your device. The only external network requests are to Apple WeatherKit (for forecasts) and Apple MapKit (for routes), both governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

ChronoWeather is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date.
