HumidiCast — Privacy Policy

Overview

HumidiCast shows the current, hourly, and daily humidity forecast for your location. This policy explains what data the app uses and how.

Location Data

HumidiCast uses your device's location to look up the humidity forecast for where you are. Specifically:

• Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a third-party weather data provider, solely to request the forecast for that location
• Your coordinates are also passed to Apple's location services to convert them into a place name, so the app can show which place the forecast describes. This is handled by iOS itself and is covered by Apple's privacy policy
• We do not run our own servers and do not store your location anywhere ourselves
• Your location is never linked to your identity, an account, or any other data, because HumidiCast has no accounts
• Location access is used only while the app is open and only to fetch weather data — not for tracking, advertising, or any other purpose

In-App Purchases

HumidiCast offers optional one-time donation tips. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not collect or have access to any payment information, and donations do not unlock any additional features.

Analytics and Tracking

HumidiCast does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or any form of telemetry, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Data Collection Summary

HumidiCast collects no personal data and creates no accounts. The only data that leaves your device is the location coordinate sent to Open-Meteo to fetch the forecast and to Apple to look up the place name, and payment handling for optional tips, which is entirely Apple's.

Children's Privacy

HumidiCast does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or any personal information.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated date.
