Overview

PhonePause is a parental control app that locks a child's iPhone during school hours or as discipline. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Family Controls Data

PhonePause uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to manage app restrictions on the device. All restriction data is:

App Settings and Preferences

Your settings — including PIN, schedule, allowed apps, and lock state — are stored locally on the device using UserDefaults within an App Group container. They are never uploaded or shared.

In-App Purchases

PhonePause offers an optional one-time Premium upgrade. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or have access to any payment information.

Analytics and Tracking

PhonePause does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or any form of telemetry.

Data Collection Summary

We collect no personal data. PhonePause operates entirely on-device with no network communication other than Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases.

Children's Privacy

PhonePause is designed to be set up by a parent or guardian on a child's device. The app does not require account creation or personal information of any kind. No data about the child or their device usage is collected or transmitted.

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated date.
